Efficiency Award 
Category: Company (Large & Secondary Steel Producer)
This award will recognize steel companies that have achieved remarkable improvements in operational efficiency, including optimizing resource utilization (energy, water, raw materials), enhancing productivity, and implementing advanced manufacturing techniques.
Export Award
Category: Company (Large Steel Producers)
This category will award the steel companies that have made significant contributions to India's export growth in the steel sector. This includes increased export volumes, diversification of export markets, and value-added exports.
Sustainability Award
Category: Company (Large Steel Producers)
This award will commend steel companies for their concerted efforts in decarbonizing their operations. This includes adopting cleaner technologies, improving energy efficiency, increasing the use of renewable energy, and implementing carbon capture and utilization/storage (CCUS) initiatives, thereby contributing to India's climate goals.
Safety Award
Category: Company & Team (Large Steel Producers)
This category will honour steel companies with exemplary safety records and proactive initiatives to ensure a safe working environment for their employees. This includes significant reductions in accidents, implementation of best-in-class safety protocols, and fostering a strong safety culture.
Indigenization Award
Category: Team (Large Steel Producers)
This award will acknowledge steel companies that have demonstrated outstanding achievements in promoting self-reliance through the development and adoption of indigenous technologies, raw materials, manufacturing processes and manufacturing high end products for import substitution, thereby reducing import dependence and strengthening the domestic supply chain.
Innovation through R&D Award
Category: Team (Large & Secondary Steel Producers)
An "Innovation through R&D Award" for steel companies would recognize not just the output of research and development, but also the strategic intent, the robustness of the R&D process, and the tangible impact of innovations on the business and the wider industry.
